MEET

Caroline Scutcheon of CB Organics

TELL US ABOUT YOUR FARM?

We are a certified organic, small family farm at Lewiston near Two Wells. We grow a range of vegetables and our winter range includes lettuce, kale, silverbeet, spinach, eggplant, herbs, cabbage and radish.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AN ORGANIC VEGETABLE GROWER?

We have been growing organically for the past 20 years. I love growing plants, particularly edible ones.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS TO GROW?

I love lettuces as they have so many different shapes and they add a bit of colour to the garden in winter. To me these are my “roses”. When I harvest leaves for my lettuce mix, each variety has its own beautiful smell!

We are also growing 3 different varieties of Kale as well as some baby kale which has 5 different varieties. I have been bunching them for sale as they are growing too fast to be sold as “Baby Kale”!

WHO WILL CUSTOMERS MEET AT THE CB ORGANICS STALL?

Caroline and her son Nathan. We are attending the market on a fortnightly basis with our stall located out the front of the market shed.
