WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU SELL AT THE FARMERS MARKET?
We handcraft a range of super premium ice creams and sorbets made with whole natural ingredients using traditional recipes. We sell cones and 120ml dixie cups of our products at the market as well as 500ml take home packs.
WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT YOUR ICE CREAMS?
It’s the quality ingredients that we use that makes all the difference – we use local producer Jersey Fresh as our dairy product supplier and 80% of our ingredients overall come from within South Australia.
WHERE DO YOU MAKE YOUR ICE CREAM?
Barossa Valley Ice Cream is made by myself (Julie) and my partner Les Williams at our premises in Tanunda.
I have a background in the food, wine and tourism sectors and Les learnt his cooking skills while working as a chef in Adelaide for many years.
WHAT FLAVOURS DO YOU MAKE?
We make a wide range of ice cream flavours including Belgian Chocolate, Salty Caramel, Ginger, Black Liquorice and Balsamic Roasted Strawberry – which is made using balsamic vinegar and strawberries sourced from other stallholders at the farmers market.
We also make sorbets such as a Raspberry Sorbet and Pear and Verjuice Sorbet.
WHO WILL VISITORS MEET AT YOUR STALL?
On most Saturday mornings customers will meet myself (Julie) at the stall. Many will also have seen me at other Barossa events with our distinctive ice cream bike which has an ice box on the front of the bike.
