YOUR LOCAL FARMERS MARKET UPDATE
Spring is in the air! With lots of blossom out across the region, there is no better time to enjoy local honey…
Phill Marshall of Barossa Honey
WHO ARE YOU?
We started out as backyard beekeepers after collecting a wild spring swarm of bees. It has grown from a hobby to selling our honey each week at the Farmers Market.
WHERE ARE YOU BASED?
Our main apiary site is at Williamstown near the Barossa Reservoir.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU SELL?
We sell a range of honeys including premium raw honey, South Australian Blue Gum, Red Mallee, Orange Blossom and Red Gum. The types of honey available at our stall changes seasonally due to the different flowering of plants across the region.
WHAT ARE YOUR MOST POPULAR PRODUCTS?
South Australian Blue Gum honey is our most popular. It is South Australia’s signature honey. Our Bees Wax Food Wraps made with our own beeswax are providing very popular since we introduced them in the last year too.
WHO WILL CUSTOMERS MEET AT YOUR STALL?
Market shoppers can meet me or my helper Rebecca at the stall. I also bring an observation beehive (live bees) along with me to the stall every fortnight – to educate customers on bees!
