Celebrating the
old and the new.

The Barossa Vintage Festival has been met with resounding enthusiasm since the launch of our celebratory campaign and it is with great pleasure that I say this comes as no surprise.

As we commemorate 75 years of rich Barossa heritage, what could be a more fitting tribute than 75 diverse events, each of which imbues a unique aspect of our cultural identity.

The anticipation is palpable as the community eagerly anticipates the return of our iconic hallmark events such as the Vintage Festival Ball, Scarecrow Trail, The Parade, the Vintage Festival Art Prize and The Barossa Wine Auction (to name only a few).

But the 2023 festival challenge is not to be too content and only relive past glories!

This year, I also encourage locals and visitors alike to embrace the new and exciting experiences crafted just for you.

Allow me to take this moment to personally introduce you to these exceptional new events…

I See You Like This

This work has been enjoyed many an audience, including seasons in Melbourne, Gold Coast, Germany and Belgium so I’m profoundly excited to see I See You Like This’ in our BVF23 programme.

This is an event by artist, Jessica Wilson hosted at Jacob’s Creek.

It’s a really cool interactive photo studio experience where you and your child get to switch roles and become each other’s photographer.

You’ll use fun props and your imagination to capture a special moment together, with the help of a professional photographer and artist.

And the best part is, the final result is a professional portrait that will be displayed during Festival days.

It’s an amazing opportunity to create a lasting memory with your child and see the world through their unique vision.

You definitely don’t want to miss out on this!

Sunset at Seppeltsfield Road

Sunset at Seppeltsfield Road is going to be an unforgettable evening within the festival.

The Avenue of Palms will tower above you, and you’ll be surrounded by breath-taking panoramic views of the vineyards, as the sun sets across the rolling hills.

This is the ultimate indulgence, with over 20 of the region’s finest wineries and distilleries offering their best nectar for you to savour.

Plus, there will be live music and delicious gourmet cuisine to devour.

It’s going to be a ‘money can’t buy’ experience that you won’t forget.

Bon Appetit!

Le Mas seems to have etched itself a space as the oh so Frenchy oh so chic gem of the Barossa.

Their BVF event, BON APPÉTIT! will feature indulgent French cooking by Marie-France, providing dining as it should be: Fresh, authentic, heart-warming dishes to be enjoyed with friends and family.

BON APPÉTIT! includes six-course lunch with a glass of Billiecart-Salmon Champagne on arrival and if that didn’t lure you already, a knockout performance by the ultra-phenomenal faux-French sensations, Abby Dobson (you might recognise the name as the leading lady of ‘Leonardo’s Bride!) and Lara Goodridge as Baby Et Lulu.

I have had their album on repeat many a time while travelling through France to feel positivement merveilleux and now we have the French fantasies in our own backyard.

It’s going to be nothing short of charming.

The Farm Eatery Cooking School

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make your own bread, cheese, and butter?

Well, now you can with Chef Tim Bourke’s interactive cooking classes!

He’ll guide you through the process and you’ll get to take home your own delicious creations.

On Saturday, you could learn how to make a Market to Table meal and enjoy lunch with wine.

And on Sunday, it’s all about Pheasant Farm Classics and another tasty lunch with wine.

These classes are perfect for all skill levels, so whether you’re a beginner or an experienced chef, you’ll have a blast.

Join the team in the kitchen and learn, create, and indulge together in Barossan style!

Live and Local

Live and Local is the epitome of an intimate music festival experience!

This new micro-music festival takes the excitement and energy of a music festival and brings it to smaller, more intimate, and unexpected settings, offering a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

With a line-up of local and emerging artists, you’ll be able to discover the hidden gems of your community’s music scene and enjoy a diverse range of musical talent in an up-close-and-personal setting.

The festival will be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Valley, creating the perfect atmosphere for an afternoon turns evening filled with live music, delicious food and drinks, and good times with your near and dearest.
