What did you enjoy about the Ambassador’s programme?
The ambassador’s programme has been a thrill so far and we haven’t even reached the Vintage Festival. I have particularly enjoyed being a part of the Parade committee and cannot wait to see over 75 floats make their way from Nuriootpa to Tanunda.
What have you learnt over this experience?
That no matter how much you know about the Barossa, there is always so much more to learn. There is such deep history in the vines and the culture of the people that call Barossa home.
Why should other people get involved in the Ambassador’s programme?
Being a part of the programme is an invaluable experience that I would encourage any young adult willing to represent both the Barossa and the Vintage Festival to get involved.
Throughout the programme you get to see a different side of the Barossa and be a part of a long-standing tradition that has become so much more than just celebrating the end of Vintage.
What was a stand-out memory for you over the programme?
At this current time there has been too many highlights and experiences shared with my fellow ambassadors to pick out one stand-out memory. However I cannot miss mentioning seeing behind the scenes of the Apex Bakery where my favourite chocolate donuts and pasties are lovingly baked. This will be a treasured memory for the years to come.
