“We have a young family so we are looking forward to the Vintage Parade held on the Saturday.

We live not far from the Remembrance park in Tanunda so will be walking down there early morning with our picnic rug, chairs and esky to settle in for a day of excitement that the vintage festival brings.

We will be enjoying some of Barossa finest foods, wine and of course a sneaky Barossa Gin to celebrate a wonderful Barossa Vintage.”

“Every year we look forward The Parade! It’s a wonderful, vibrant community tradition and we love organising a roadside picnic while we watch our neighbours and friends roll by.

Vintage Festival consistently represents the very best of food, wine, and long (long) lunches but we’re also so excited by the events in the 2021 Festival program that focus on the arts.

We’re especially excited by the Jam Factory Seppeltsfield workshop with Sonya Moyle and Janelle Amos. To us, it sounds like the perfect day of creating and connecting.”

Trish and I will start our Vintage Festival weekend at The Chateau Carnival at Chateau Tanunda. Lots of people-watching and catching up, together with a cup of coffee, a glass of wine and some lunch.

Early afternoon we’ll head to Coulthard House for Busk ‘til Dusk. Perhaps another glass of wine while we are entertained by the wide variety of talented and enthusiastic young musicians. Happy to be a part of their audience.

Sunday we’ll find our way to Gibson’s Sunday Funday. Always a good time. Another glass of wine and a good lunch. More good music. We’ll also have to find time to visit the Barossa Regional Gallery to enjoy the very creative artworks and sculptures. A busy weekend but a thoroughly enjoyable one.”

“I always look forward to the Barossa Vintage Festival, I have such wonderful childhood memories of the crowning of the Vintage Queen and the party atmosphere at the Tanunda Oval.

Having said that, the event within the Barossa Vintage Festival that I love and always make an effort to attend is the Vintage Festival Parade. It is always so lovely to see people out saving their spots along route early, getting their BBQs and eskies out and really making a day of it.

I think it really shows off what the Barossa is all about, celebrating community, celebrating the businesses that call the Barossa home, showing off what we have here and generally having a great time!”

Château tanunda

“There are so many things to experience at the Barossa Vintage Festival. Such hospitality and character that can only be possible in the Barossa.

Personally I am looking forward to being part in hosting the Barossa Wine Auction at Chateau Tanunda. It is such an exciting and unique event to the Australian wine industry, and brings together the great personalities from the valley, along with our best wines. For anyone interested in wine, this is not to be missed.

For families, the activities around Tanunda with the Ziegenmarkt and Vintage Festival Parade, and of course the Chateau Tanunda carnival after the start of the parade, are fun for everyone. You will see with the whole community involved, both in the parade and as spectators, which is something so typical Barossan.”

“It’s hard to choose just one, as this year’s program has so many exciting events!

The Ziegenmarkt is a must. Celebrating the honoured traditions of our German forebearers through food and historical displays. It’s like stepping back in time as Goat Square is transformed into a bustling German market.

Another favourite of mine is The Parade. Barossa Enterprises is proud to be an Event Partner this year, and the parade is a great event that brings the wider community together.”
