Hermannsburg Historic Precinct

Barossa Regional Gallery

The Barossa Regional Gallery will be home to a new model of the Hermannsburg Historic Precinct until early 2024, while the real Precinct’s Tannery building is prepared for its arrival. 

The model details the historical precinct which is a nationally listed heritage site, owned by the Western Arrarnta people and managed collaboratively with them by Finke River Mission (FRM) under the direction of the Hermannsburg Historical Society.

Prancing Pony Stable

BAROSSA VALLEY CHOCOLATE COMPANY

The Barossa Valley Chocolate Company and Prancing Pony Brewery have joined forces to bring the Pony Stable to Barossa.

From December 9, 2023 through to the end of Easter 2024, the Eastern Lawns of Barossa Valley Chocolate Company will be home to the Pony Stable, an inclusive outdoor space where people can enjoy the beautiful views, Prancing Pony Brewery world class beers, a special summer menu from Barossa Valley Chocolate Company’s Benni’s Café and outdoor games in a welcoming, family friendly setting.

Barossa Timed Event Rodeo

Lyndoch

The Barossa Timed Event Rodeo is back for its second year, after much success in 2022. With eight events, eight hours of entertainment and 90 animals on show, it is the perfect event for people of all ages. 

The events running on the day include: barrel racing, breakaway roping and open steer roping – so you’ll get to see all the best events rodeos have to offer! There will also be several food trucks with delicious food available, a licensed bar and even live music.

Christmas Eve Eve, Pizza and Wine

Chateau Tanunda

The Friday before Christmas is earmarked to be a special one at Chateau Tanunda, which is hosting Christmas Eve Eve, Pizza and Wine. 

Joined by the team from Vintage Chef Co, visitors will enjoy an evening of wood oven pizza and wine on the deck and sunken garden at the Chateau while listening to live music, performed by Caitlen Drew. What a great way to kick off the Christmas weekend!

1894 Command Shiraz Vertical Tasting

Santos Tour Down Under Ziptrak Men’s Stage 1

For the more sports inclined, the Santos Tour Down Under Ziptrak Men’s Stage 1 is coming back to the Barossa in 2024! The world’s best cyclists will take to the roads of the region, completing three loops through picturesque Seppeltsfield, Greenock, Nuriootpa and Angaston, along with Tanunda. 

With plenty of great vantage points, you’re guaranteed to find a perfect spot to catch the action. Throughout the day, you can also enjoy the vibrant street parties, which include an array of family-friendly activities such as street performers and kids’ activities, as well as plenty of Barossa food and beverages from Tanunda traders.

What better way to round out the holiday season than spending a day enjoying exclusive food and wine at three premium Barossa wineries?

Hot Rodders CruiseOn 2024

Tanunda

Valley HotRodders will once again transform Tanunda for its annual Cruise On event! Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Cruise On, the event is shaping up to be yet another success, with plenty of pre-1970 Hot Rods, Customs and American Classics on display. 

As always, the infamous Street Party will be held on the Saturday evening, with plenty of local business, food vendors, local musicians at both the Tanunda Hotel and the Tanunda Rotunda, and of course cars lining Tanunda’s Murray Street! Be sure to check it out.

“In Tails”

MARCH 22-24

Australian Goldwing Association Twilight Parade

PROVENANCE COMPLEX, NURIOOTPA

The Australian Goldwing Association is convening it’s national Annual General Meeting in the Barossa, with around 130 motorcyclists from all over Australia with their magnificent machines.

A twilight parade on the Friday evening (March 22), from Nuriootpa to Tanunda and return will culminate in the Provenance complex. The general public are invited to the display to vote for the ‘People’s Choice Best Bike’.
