Black belt, Jessica, met blue belt, Brad, at a mixed Zen Do Kai martial arts class in Lyndoch in January 2012 after years of training at the same club but never crossing paths.

Brad became the ultimate Lord of the Rings when he got down on one knee and proposed to Jessica during a tour of Hobbiton in the North Island of New Zealand nearly six years later.

“It was the most perfect proposal and truly so memorable,” Jessica said.

Jessica and Brad were married by Kate Browne at The Gatehouse in Glen Ewin Estate on March 23, and hosted their reception at the same location.

They decided on a natural and earthy theme, with the bride wearing a Stella York dress in porcelain with ivory lace.

She was attended by Lina Pfeiffer, Rebecca Freeman and Eve Hewton-Lamph.

Brad was dashing in Ferrari Formal Wear, along with his groomsmen, Zac Pfeiffer, Callum Hewton-Lamph and Tom Wood.

The couple, along with 72 guests, were treated to a three tier masterpiece by Cake Studio Adelaide, and danced the night away with entertainment provided by Platinum DJs and Amuse Event Lighting.

Jessica is the daughter of Susan and Dominic Carbone of Williamstown, and Brad is the son of Rachel Anesbury of Gawler, and Anthony Rehn of Clare.

Jessica looks back fondly at the special moments on the day that she shared with the men in her life – her father seeing her for the first time in her wedding dress, and Brad meeting her at the end of the aisle.

“It was like the entire world just melted away and all that was left was us in this perfect moment together,” she said.
