Celebrate the festive season with the Gawler Town Band Christmas Matinee Show… Deck the halls and add some Christmas cheer during this fun morning melody show, inspired by your favourite Christmas Carols, big band tunes and film favourites, Wednesday 16 December, 11.00am.
Santa’s Workshop at the Gawler Civic Centre will be an awesome experience for families and children of all ages. Each session will contain an abundance of Christmas activities, magic, music and fun!

To keep track of all the fun from the Library this Summer keep your eye on the Gawler Public Library Facebook page for the Christmas Advent Calendar which will offer something fun each day in the lead up to Christmas.
The Gawler Youth Space is a fun, inclusive and purpose built space providing a safe and supportive environment located in the Gawler Civic Centre. Young people can come together to explore interests, participate in fun programs both during the school term and in the school holidays, as well as learn new skills and gain qualifications!
In the upcoming School Holidays a varied program is on offer. Bookings can be made through the Town of Gawler website, using Eventbrite.
The Youth Space is all about ‘Creating Opportunities for Young People’; aiming to promote information of interest to young people about services, facilities and opportunities within the local area. Keep up to date with what’s happening at ‘Gawler Youth’ by following us on social media.
The Gawler Cultural Heritage Centre allows the community to experience and interact with the specialized and significant Gawler Heritage Collection through exhibitions, education programmes and expert talks. The current exhibition ‘Fire the Cannon’ is a celebration of Gawler in 1870, the year the Foundation Stone was laid for the iconic Gawler Institute building. On display is a cannon from HMAS Buffalo, a ladies day dress from the 1860’s and a silk banner that is 163 years old. There are things to see and hear and interactive activities for children.
The upcoming exhibition (to be launched early in 2021) will look at the food production in Gawler, from ancient Kaurna techniques through to the 1950’s… plan to visit soon!
