Brennan who is a pilot and Felicity, a nurse in the Royal Australian Air Force, have been together for four and a half years and during this time have spent many months apart due to postings and deployments.
The saying ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ certainly came true for the couple when Brennan proposed to Felicity in Central Park, New York while on holiday during an overseas posting in the USA.
They chose to hold their wedding ceremony and reception at their home in Lyndoch with 100 guests attending.
Felicity wore a custom gown by Caleche and Brennan wore a custom suit by Knightsman Bespoke Tailors.
The couple’s main focus on their wedding day was spending time with their friends and family in a rustic, country fair atmosphere.
Hitting the backyard dance floor and watching the NRL and AFL finals in between formalities added to their many favourite moments throughout the day.
A highlight for everyone was when Rose and her helpers from Barossa Wildlife Rescue in Lyndoch visited with some of the animals in their care.
After many cuddles and photos guests were very generous and donated over $3,000 towards the Rescue Centre.
Felicity is the daughter of Sue and Graeme from Busselton, WA and Brennan is the son of Jenelle and David from Kangaroo Valley, NSW.
