What do I love about Spring?
From a business perspective, traditionally Spring marks the time when many people dream of acquiring a new home and part of that dream involves being all moved in ready for Christmas lunch with a horde of family and friends who will oooh and aaaah over their new purchase.
Then the realisation that they have spent all of Winter chasing the kids from one sport to another on Saturdays, then sitting by the fire to thaw out every Sunday and they haven’t done a single thing to prepare their current property for sale !
So what’s the bit in all of that, that I love?…..it’s the call for help that follows when they realise some expert assistance is required !
Seriously, it is normally a busy time of year for properties hitting the market and people moving in and around the Barossa.
This year we haven’t had the usual “Slow Winter”, as Covid had other ideas about that and the market remained strong right through, so who knows what will happen this Spring?
I don’t expect a slow down, nor do I expect hundreds of new listings to hit the market.
I think we will keep going at a steady rate, with demand outstripping supply for a while.
On a personal level, I love Spring for the longer, milder days, a chance to get back to walking through Kaiser Stuhl Conservation Park, hopefully for some great photographic opportunities, more time to spend with our expanding family and a good dose of Vitamin D to go with it…..bring it on!
