What does the Barossa Vintage Festival mean to you?
Nicole durdin
To me Vintage Festival is a celebration of what we have in the Barossa, and showing that off to everyone!
As a child I loved the energy and festivities of the final night of the festival, crowning the Vintage Queen and the fireworks.
As the Vintage Festival has evolved, I think the town days have become more important and heading along to Ziegenmarkt is an absolute must.
In more recent years, the Parade is what makes my heart sing, seeing people out early in the morning with their barbecues, securing their traditional vantage point, really making a day of it.
It’s such a wonderful way to bring the entire Barossa community together and celebrate not just the traditions that we hold so dear, but the future of the Barossa, very much ‘Old Roots, New Ways’.

My first memories of Vintage Festival were the seemingly endless nights playing with the Tanunda Town Band in the Tanunda Show Hall to packed and very rowdy crowds.
These nights shaped my first perceptions of what Barossa is all about: Fun, friendships and generosity.
Today for me, the Vintage Festival is the opportunity for the Barossa community to celebrate all that is special about our home and share our renowned generosity with the world.
