A carefully devised plan by family members and “the rest was history” for Adele Laubsch and Ryan Grieger.
When Adele’s brother, Matthew, and Ryan’s brother-in-law, Leighton, learned about each other’s single siblings with a lot in common, they organised for them to meet at their local church service in Kapunda.
A romantic proposal unfolded at Ryan’s family farm, when a usual weekend walk along the cliff top at Ryan’s family farm turned into a life-changing moment.
Ryan had the ring carefully hidden in his pocket during their walk and on the way back Adele sat down on the edge of the cliff to take in the view.
Ryan following sitting beside and to Adele’s surprise, Ryan pulled the ring from his pocket and popped the question.
Adele and Ryan were married at the place they met, St John’s Lutheran Church, Kapunda.
Among the many special moments of the day, Adele says her favourite moment was sharing “I will” to the love of her life.
A reception of 100 guests was held at Gomersal Wines, with a cake created by Adele’s sister, of Sweet and Petite Cakes.
The couple spent the honeymoon on Queensland’s Bedarra Island.
Bride’s attendants were Emily Murphy, Jessica Read, Heidi Laubsch and Shae Heinrich.
Groom’s attendants were Leighton Schuster, Matthew Laubsch, Greg Doering and Tyson Grieger.
Adele is the daughter of Leanne and Barry Laubsch of Allendale North, and Ryan is the son of Denise and Grant Grieger, of Swan Reach.
