When Annabelle Williams and Jayden Ilesia exchanged vows in spring last year, the nuptials were a wonderful surprise for the 140 family and friends gathered, who thought they were joining the couple for their engagement party.
The reaction of those closest to them, upon learning they were actually there to witness the wedding, is one of the couple’s favourite moments of the day, along with exchanging vows!
With “bright and colourful,” as the theme for the day, the flowers and hanging lanterns were a particular stand out, boasting cheerful coral, white, apricot and pink hues, that added just the right level of contrast to the rustic vineyard setting.
Married by Victoria Blechynden, Annabelle wore a soft, feminine dress from Barossa Bridal, with the bodice featuring floral patterns, while Jayden wore a textured latte suit with a champagne-coloured tie.
Both families are local, with Annabelle (the daughter of Kylie and Kym) choosing Hayley Habermann and Tyler Burgess as her attendants and Jayden (the son of Trudi and Wayne) selecting Caleb and Zach Ilesia as groomsmen.
Annabelle said the couple met two years ago when she was working at a tool kit depot and Jayden came in to buy a welder.
“When we didn’t have the one he wanted in stock, I offered to drop it off to him. And here we are!” Annabelle said.
Jayden asked Annabelle to marry him following a 12-hour work shift, driving to Steingarten Lookout and enjoying panoramas out over Rowland Flat.
On the big day the couple chose Spuds and More food truck for the catering, before enjoying a love-heart shaped vanilla cake for dessert by Carly’s Sweet Kitchen..
Their ceremony location at Dimchurch Vineyards, Ebenezer, was also their pick for the reception, enabling the couple and their guests to relax and enjoy the day.
