Time spent at Nuriootpa High School was memorable for Danielle Davies and Brad Hoepner for more than just friendships and schoolwork, as it turned out to be the very place they would meet a partner for life.
Sharing the story of the marriage proposal on a special night away in Adelaide, Danielle described Brad’s effort to decorate their hotel balcony with candles and red roses, before dropping down onto one knee.
“The following day Brad had organised a surprise at Atze’s Winery with all our closest friends and family to celebrate,” she added.
Together for eight years, the daughter of Kym and Lisa Lewcock and Anthony and Megan Davies of Nuriootpa, and son of Kylie and Jesse Helbig and John Hoepner, also of Nuriootpa, were married on February 3 at Lambert Estate, Angaston, in front of 120 well-wishing friends and family.
“We wanted our wedding to be fun but also timeless. A fun dance floor and lots of love was our only wants,” Danielle said, adding that there were too many special moments from the day to pick a clear favourite, but seeing each other for the first time and sharing their personal vows were high among them, as was the party that followed!
The bride wore custom Calèche Bridal House, and was attended by Ashleigh Stolz, Shannon Doecke, Lauren McGillivray and Lilly Miles.
The groom was supported by Sam Schmaal, Bryce Stolz, Jarrod Siedel and Bart Ryan, and looked dashing in Peter Jackson.
Danielle and Brad honeymooned in Noosa for a week straight after the wedding, followed by a five-week trip to Europe more recently.
