Pernod Ricard Heritage Vineyard was the venue choice for Katelyn Menzel and Cam Heinrich for their wedding celebration, with 130 friends and family in December.
With two local families, Peter and Leanne Menzel of Angaston and Jenny and Russell Heinrich of Daveyston, the couple met at high school and started dating after Cam had finished and Katelyn was in Year 12, nine and a half years ago.
“We wanted to keep it minimalist and timeless. The Pernod Ricard Heritage site is so scenic in itself, we didn’t want to take away from the beautiful heritage buildings,” Katelyn said of the styling.
“We had a cocktail style reception so that we could move around and celebrate with all our guests,” said Katelyn, with Vintage Chef Co chosen as the caterer. “We had Brad Bryksy playing acoustic music while canapés and boxed meals were served. Once speeches were finished Colonel Mustard started playing and the dance floor started!”
The bride wore a classic and timeless style in a Madi Lane gown, with a fitted bodice with square neckline which flared into a full train with a tulle bow, while her attendants donned Champagne coloured dresses in different styles.
The groom had a fresh, summery look with a classically-cut green jacket, white shirt, black bow tie and cream pants from Peter Shearer, while his attendants echoed the look, but with traditional length ties.
Looking back on the day, the couple said they “loved getting around our band on the dance floor.
“But for both of us our favourite moment was taking a step back to see our favourite people having a great time and knowing they were there to celebrate our marriage was very special.”
And when it came to the honeymoon location what better summer choice than a seaside locale.
“We ventured to Port Lincoln for a seafood experience,” Katelyn said.
