Lucy & Lachy's Wedding

The lush grounds of Saltram Wines proved the perfect choice for Lucy Siegele and Lachy Earl’s late summer wedding, an ideal backdrop for the European Summer/Garden Party aesthetic.

Plump blue hydrangeas provided the perfect complement to the crisp blue and white accents chosen for accessories and the table settings, as the couple explains, “We love bright clear photography with blue details and lush green gardens, which Saltram’s was perfect for.”

The daughter of Joff and Jayne Siegele of Nuriootpa, Lucy met Lachy at a Tanunda Football Club event four years ago, when he was in his second year playing for the team.

Resplendent on her wedding day in a strapless Calèche gown with a striking bow and separate tulle sleeves, Lucy changed for the reception into her mother’s wedding dress, which had been altered to a mini style.

Lucy’s attendants; Emma Haynes, Chloe Goers, Lilly Miles and Lacey Mellors wore satin dresses of the palest lemon sorbet, with a slightly deeper hue for the flower girls.

Lachy, the son of Louise and Michael Earl of Glenelg, wore a custom Joseph Uzumcu tuxedo with embroidered initials, and his attendants; Jason Cavuoto, Riley McFarlane, Josh Trembath and Tim Earl, also wore classic black and white.

Joining the happy couple on the day were 130 family and friends, with Lucy taking the opportunity to showcase her love of the Barossa to guests.

“We wanted there to be a lot of local influence with the wine and food,” the couple said. “We wanted our nearest and dearest to indulge in the local offerings by using Saltram’s Wines and local food sourced and prepared by the Saltram’s chef.

“The following day we had a recovery in Tanunda at Sue and David Fechner’s gorgeous garden with more local offerings of food and wine, we hope our guests got an insight into how much we love the region.”

Following the wedding, the couple took the opportunity to enjoy the last summer rays during a week-long visit to Noosa, with part two of the honeymoon scheduled for Europe at the end of July.
