On March 5, at Chateau Yaldara, Lyndoch, daughter of Michael Jenkins, Olivia Jenkins and George Edwards, son of Sean Edwards and Monica Wandel, had the wedding of their dreams and are still on cloud nine.

The business consultant first met George during a 2012 holiday to visit a friend. “I pulled up to a venue wondering what I had got myself into given I only knew one person out of 30. It was there that I met George and it was love at first sight.”

Fast forward years later, and by then parents to two boys Henry and Archer, George popped the question on a private beach at the stunning Port Lincoln National Park with a diamond he sourced from France.

Given the couple’s love of nature, they opted for iconic Chateau Yaldara. The Barossa Valley venue is known for its history, idyllic surrounds, and renowned wines. “It’s breathtaking and has stunning French chateau vibes,” says Olivia.

“We planned to have the ceremony and reception areas close together and opted for an open-air ceremony with round tables, white umbrellas, festoon and fairy lights [put together by wedding party specialists Adelaide Wedding Hire] to create a romantic feel.” Ambient lighting designed by Caso Light N Sound added to the effect.

Guests feasted on a Mediterranean-inspired menu (catered by Vintage Chef Co) featuring courses inspired by Olivia’s European background. Dishes included saganaki and charcoal lamb with salted roast potatoes. For dessert, guests were treated to vanilla and chocolate cake from Adelaide bakery Blossom Bar Bakery.

Olivia wore a custom-made three-piece Caleche Bridal gown featuring a dress, tulle overskirt and wings, with a pair of Amina Muaddi bridal shoes.

“Caleche Bridal made the experience so magical. I knew what I wanted when I went in for my first fitting and they were exceptional at creating my dream gown.”

The bride donned the “Charlotte” Swarovski pearl headband by @ael.este and a Tiffany & Co bracelet gifted to her on the wedding morning by George. She completed the look with pearl stud earrings.

Olivia’s makeup was inspired by Paris Hilton’s recent bridal glam by Adelaide-based makeup artist @nivman, and her hair was styled in a signature Adriana wave by L’oreal pro stylist Adriana Marmino.

“We were so happy to have our family, friends and children there to celebrate our love,” says Olivia. “Now, it’s time for our next journey – we have big plans for the year ahead and beyond!”
