It was a memorable day for high school sweethearts, Sarah Pain and Joshua Harris as they walked down the aisle at Chateau Yaldara lawns to tie the knot in October, last year.
The couple, married by Robyn Dennard, had been together for 11 years and had long awaited the moment they spend the rest of their lives together.
It was a surprise proposal for bride, Sarah as she found the ring before Joshua had a chance to pop the question on their 10 year anniversary.
A beautiful three-tiered semi naked cake was created by Heidelberg Cakes which featured white chocolate mud cake with raspberry, alternated with dark chocolate.
It was a relaxed, intimate day with perfect weather and plenty of dancing at the beautiful Chateau Yaldara Barrel Hall.
In the middle of COVID-19 restrictions, the couple were happy to hear the dancing restrictions lifted, with just one week to go.
Looking back, Sarah’s favourite memory of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing her family and friends, and seeing Joshua’s face at the end.
Due to COVID the couple were limited to honeymoon destinations but decided to take a few trips close to home, which included a couple nights at the Mayfair Hotel in Adelaide.
Sarah’s attendees included Shannon O’Brien, Jemma Woollard, Laura Pain and Amanda Pain.
Joshua’s attendees included Hamish Grierson, Robert Young, Jack Linke and Cain Sumner.
Sarah is the daughter of Pam and Greg Pain of Williamstown and Joshua is son of Shaun and Suzanne Harris of Mount Torrens.
