Awaken your senses this festive season at Jacob’s Creek

WORDS CHELSEA FILMER

Discover an unforgettable sensory experience with a visit to Jacob’s Creek, which has recently welcomed new restaurant partner, Harvest Kitchen.

Jacob’s Creek is more than just a winery – it’s a master of its craft, founded on the belief that wine is meant to be enjoyed by everyone.

Located in the Barossa Valley, this globally recognised winery boasts an impressive 175-year legacy of winemaking heritage. Jacob’s Creek has won over 8,800 medals, proving its expertise in crafting quality, contemporary Australian-style wines that appeal to consumers’ evolving tastes. Their tagline, “A drop worth sharing,” perfectly captures the spirit of Jacob’s Creek, which aims to create wines that bring people together.

At the cellar door, you’ll find a refurbished premium retail space showcasing exclusive wines and select spirits – perfect for gifting during the holiday season.

Whilst there, don’t miss the unique Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel Experience – a masterclass on the award-winning Double Barrel wines, first matured in traditional wine barrels and then finished in aged whisky barrels.

Guests can taste two varietals, the Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon and learn about their unique characteristics and aromas before and after the double barrel maturation. Finally, savour an exclusive limited-edition wine in your discovery journey with the 2019 Jacob’s Creek Double Barrel XO Shiraz.

In addition, visitors can enjoy a relaxed and friendly gastronomic experience thanks to Harvest Kitchen Restaurant. This new partnership embodies a shared philosophy of bringing people together with the perfect blend of delicious dishes and premium wines.

Founded in 2015 by Pete Little and Alex Potarzycki, Harvest Kitchen celebrates community and quality produce. Drawing on their 12 years of experience in the Barossa food and beverage industry, they have crafted a generous and flavoursome menu driven by the seasons and inspired by the rich flavours of the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

The Harvest Kitchen menu perfectly complements the exclusive limited-release wines offered at Jacob’s Creek cellar door. Featuring only the freshest produce and items sourced from the Jacob’s Creek kitchen garden and native ingredients, the menu is designed to capture the essence of Barossa seasons in every dish.

The restaurant serves lunch daily from 11:30 am and dinner on Saturdays from 6:00 pm. You can visit Jacob’s Creek cellar door at Barossa Valley Way, Rowland Flat, or book reservations at www.harvest-kitchen.com.au.

If you just want to sit back and relax with a glass of wine, Jacob’s Creek also offers the Picnic Perfect Experience. Take in captivating views on the picturesque lawn while enjoying a local selection of fresh produce from Harvest Kitchen and a glass of delicious Jacob’s Creek wine—perfect for a summertime get-together with family and friends this festive season.
