Nestled in the heart of the Barossa, the iconic 1837 Barossa wine estate unveils its newly refurbished Wine Pavilion and Cellar Door. The refined space offers guests more than just a cellar door experience but a journey through time and flavours.

As the devoted custodians of this historic establishment, the owning and operating Auchli family passionately preserves the winery’s rich legacy. The estate’s historical grounds, entwined with Colonel William Light’s exploration and the naming of the Barossa in 1837, exude elegance, beauty, and a profound sense of history from the moment you enter.

Led by the current principals Nelly and Guido Auchli, in collaboration with new partners for the Cellar Door, Shane Hodges and Tony Shi, the team has created a cellar door experience like no other. Each bottle becomes a storyteller, weaving a unique narrative from Colonel Light’s rich and colourful life, ensuring an immersive and unforgettable experience for every visitor.

The Wine Pavilion is the perfect location for corporate events, providing an elegant space with crisp lines, luxurious décor, and modern technology. The beautiful lounge area and the panoramic views of vineyards and the valley offer a stunning backdrop for formal and informal gatherings.

With a flexible capacity of 16 people (Boardroom/Workshop) to 30 people (Theatre), the space accommodates various events, including seminars, workshops, breakfast meetings, networking sessions, and group tastings. The cellar door offers light food catering, paired with premium wines, adding a touch of luxury to elevate any event.

The cellar door also invites guests to explore the science and art of winemaking through Wine Appreciation tastings. In these structured sessions, participants embark on a fascinating journey, gaining the knowledge to appreciate wine like seasoned professionals.
