Adele Rothe and Malakye Makris’ wedding was one that the couple and everyone who attended will cherish for a lifetime.

The couple met through work (they are both cellar hands) and already having something in common, their relationship evolved from there.

Adele said yes to a special proposal by Malakye, simple and sweet at a sentimental location for the couple, on a hill with a view.

After five and a half years, it was time for the couple to share their love in front of their nearest and dearest.

An intimate wedding at St Petri Lutheran Church was enjoyed by their loved ones, followed by a reception at Saltram Wines.

St Petri Lutheran Church was another sentimental choice for the couple as this was the same place Adele’s parents were married.

Pastor Shaun Manning, being a close friend of the couple, made sure that the ceremony was extra special for Adele and Malakye.

The whole day was filled with love, laughter and memories to hold onto forever.

Adele’s sister, Ella provided the cake for the happy couple, a lemon topper cake with lemon and red velvet cupcakes for all to enjoy.

“Despite what everyone had told us and warned us about…our day didn’t feel rushed,” Adele explains.

“We chose to have an intimate reception and that’s maybe why.

“The day was wonderful and we wouldn’t have changed a thing.”

The couple spent their honeymoon exploring the beauty of Kangaroo Island, loving every minute.
