While the date, Friday the 13th might appear peculiar or superstitious to some, it was more a case of ‘I can’t wait to marry this girl’ for Jamie who just couldn’t wait to propose to Brooke.
“It was just a funny coincidence,” laughs Jamie.
Jamie proposed to Brooke on the beach, one of their favourite places to be together.
Same with their wedding date, the couple just loved that the date 22.10.22 would be a fun one to remember.
A day filled with laughter, and commitment, family and friends, and a cake lovingly made by Mum, in a place where everyone belongs.
Jamie Homes, and Brooke Essex tied their passionate knot at the Old Union Chapel with 70 guests enjoying their cherished day whilst gorging themselves on Two Fat Blokes Pizza.
Jamie and Brooke had a mysterious meeting on a tour in the Barossa provided by A Wine Wagon, Jamie was the tour operator on this chance meeting for the couple. They passionately support smaller, more intimate enterprises who commit their blood and soul to the “nth” degree.
The couple spent their honeymoon in chic, yet relaxed Port Douglas.
Brides’ attendants were Courtnie Moulds and Verity Holibone.
Jamie is the Daughter of Terry & Judy Homes, of Angaston, and Brooke is the Daughter of Sarah Halliday of Perth.
One thing that everyone continues to remember about their beautiful day was their musician for the day, Liam Halford.
“He was incredible!” exclaimed Jamie.
“He made the day extra special with how engaging he was with the everyone and even learning new song requests on the spot!”
