A ‘mostly’ portrait and ‘brief’ interview series by professional photographer Pete Thornton exploring the idea that one image has the power to tell the whole story.
Each ‘sitter’ suggests the next person to be photographed in this series, and thus ensues an interesting and unknown trail of Barossa identities to come.

Barossa unearthed
Roland Weight
Roland Weight will be well known to many in the Barossa and indeed to many from further afield.
He is the instigator to a lot of visual artists in the Barossa. He started the Byron Bay School of Art and trained as a sculptural artist.
Roland is an artist of many disciplines and is well known for his paintings and his sculptural works, but is able to turn his hands to most things though, as he is as comfortable tinkering and creating with electronics, sitting at the sewing machine, and has a broad background in the science world as well.
Perhaps one of his enduring legacies will be his 10 or more years of art teaching in our region, inspiring other artists to create and hone their craft, and create the best works they can.
